The Virginia Industry Foundation (VIF) was organized as a 501(c)3 non-profit in 2007.

Mission: To provide scientific educational information; compose, publish, and disseminate information and standards designed to advance industry and specific education; recognize industrial, scientific, educational, workplace, and environmental achievements; support technology intensive industry research and development; and serve as a central scientific, educational, and charitable resource for industry and the public.

The Dream It. Do It. Virginia campaign is a franchise of the national Dream It. Do It.
campaign developed by the National
Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and The Manufacturing Institute (MI), and was brought to Virginia in 2007.

Mission: To encourage people to explore and pursue advanced technology careers in Virginia, like manufacturing, biotechnology, robotics, nanotechnology, aviation, energy, information technology, healthcare and more.


Grants Available Through VIF

Rural Virginia Advanced Manufacturing Skills Project: To train and retrain Manufacturing Technicians and World-Class Manufacturing Assessors in the tobacco-dependent localities of Southside and Southwest Virginia. This grant is available to both individuals and companies.
